Fatigue and Exhaustion
Earlier symptoms of pregnancy occur in the first weeks after conception in pregnancy, and the most common ones are exhaustion and fatigue. These two symptoms are a part of the entire pregnancy as well, because when the levels of progesterone rise, it makes one feel sleepy. Fatigue is associated with the feeling of overtired or overworked, and chronic fatigue may last a long period of time and may develop into emotional, psychological and motivational disparities. It may be associated with sleepiness as well. As normal as it may be for pregnant women to experience, it may be a sign of:
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Grief
- Stress.
Some symptoms may also include:
- Loss of memory
- Poor concentration
- Sore throat
- Pain
- Headache
- Exhaustion.
Exhaustion may also have similar symptoms. Pregnant women residing in Denver should visit the Denver Holistic Center for more information. Fatigue and exhaustion go hand in hand because when there is a fetus using up a woman’s nutrient supply, it means a woman needs to replenish her body.
Women should also understand these symptoms of pregnancy:
- Tender and swollen breasts
- Nausea
- Vomiting
- Increased urgency to urinate
- Food aversions and cravings
- Bleeding → fatigue due to anemia
- Cramping → fatigue or exhaustion due to pain
- Mood swings
- Dizziness
- Constipation → fatigue and exhaustion because the body cannot expel waste.
Changes in a woman’s body temperature may also trigger some symptoms due to the changes in metabolism.
