The Benefits of NAD+ Therapy

What is NAD+?

NAD+ is short for Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide - a chemical compound that helps the cells in our body produce energy and maintain their health over time.  NAD is a naturally occuring co-enzyme of niacin that is responsible for converting the energy we get from food into cellular energy.

NAD+ also plays a part in the structural health of our DNA and our body’s natural circadian rhythm.  As we age, the body’s NAD+ levels start to diminish. Dug and alcohol abuse can also deplete a person’s natural amount of NAD+, making it more difficult for them to convert the energy that is broken down from the food they consume.  There has even been speculation that those who naturally produce less NAD+ may be more likely to develop an addiction. Other reason’s the body’s natural reserve of NAD+ may be depleted are:

  • Anxiety

  • Depression

  • Post-traumatic stress

  • Alzheimer’s

  • Parkinson’s

  • Neurodegenerative diseases

  • Chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE)

Benefits of NAD+ IV Therapy

After a Harvard Medical School study found NAD+ as a way to rewound “aspects of age-related demise in mice”, it has become a popular supplement among those looking to fight or delay the effects of aging.  NAD+ is also good for detoxing from alcohol and drugs, increasing energy levels and focus, reducing chronic fatigue and stress, increasing your metabolism, improving your cardiovascular health, maximizing brain power, and improving your overall sense of wellbeing.  Think of it this way: your cells are constantly at work. They need fuel and certain tools to keep going and stay healthy - NAD+ is just that. Stronger, healthier cells translate to a stronger, healthier you.
